Drop dead brief

BRIEF TITLE Drop Dead Flag store Range 2010

The Brief

We want you to design 5/10 items of clothing for our first flagship store located in London, we would like you to consider what made drop dead so good in the first place and really take some of the designs to more a personal level with the founders B.M.T.H. As well as promotional work incorporating the illustrations into posters, post cards and any other kind of physical distribution. Along side this we would like a digital distribution and free things such as desktop backgrounds and advertisements online of the clothing.

Concept/Proposition

We at drop dead want new illustrations from a more in depth view, we want people to visit our store in London and get publicity really flowing and hopefully make it a land mark just like Johnny Cupcakes store does in Boston USA.

Background

At present, Drop Dead Clothing has its Summer 2010 range released, with soon-to-be classic tee's like "Stacked Up" which features the stacked logo on a purple t-shirt, and "Praying Hands" which features Oli's own hands in a praying position. Drop Dead now ships worldwide, and has followers from every corner. With celebrity fans like Lostprophets, TaGa, Gallows and Kano, Drop Dead is now fast becoming one of the top indie clothing lines in the UK.

Target Audience

The audience will be fans of rock, pop punk and new fun music. bands such as bring me the horizon, four year strong, the blackout, lostprophets, the Gallows etc Illustrators.
The audience will be over 18 to 30 who love to party and listen to live music whilst looking good.

Considerations

Make sure that although the theme is different the designs and style of clothing produced links into the kind of clothing style Drop dead make. Items produced must have relevance to B.M.T.H. As this is a rare launch we want the T-shirts to be full colour prints. It’s a rare range so consider what people wear and the direction male fashion is heading in. Consider the sites in which the festival can be advertised and where the best areas are for the posters to go up. Consider BMTH’s methods to help the design, using famous quotes perhaps from songs?

Refer to:

there are blogs and news bulletins featuring all relevant material which will come in good aid to the illustration designs.

Mandatory Requirement

Have fun. If the brief isn’t enjoyable then something is going wrong. Keep it simple and smart, the best ideas always are.
Be original and intelligent.

The whole campaign is launching Drop Dead’s new range and raising awareness of the brand, make sure that drop dead is the name everyone remembers when he or she think of this event and products.
