Part two what is good

So, i hit a tiny bit of a boulder with my designwork as I had to consider a lot of things with my product being tattoos, pros, cons, legal (over 18), messages i'm sending out etc.

So I thought about why tattoos are good and why people have them etc.
Then conducted a series of interesting facts about tattoos which even i found
astonishing e.g. Urine use to be used in early ages of tattooing as a steraliser.

Then after gaining more facts I had a look at products which co existed with tattoos, after I decided on why tattoos are good.
I still need to abriviate it in my head so I can say what i mean in the right context which wont jeoparadize my intentions for the product.

traditonal tattoos are good when you think about what you want

i.e. message is think before you ink!
to avoid any regret.

It was at this stage i thought about producing a printed tshirt, which could be worn as though you had tattoos but you didn't. I adapted this idea from the sleeves that people buy, but I have made it in a more realistic fashion - the topman styled shirt.

T&G 3

In this workshop we started to work with paragraphs in comparison to earlier lectures in which we studied single words and then moved onto sentences.
Now we are looking at paragraphs, we were asked to open up a new document with 4 columns (landscape) with a 3cm gutter.

We were then given a strip of text in which we were asked to make fit to the column without using spaces or changing the typeface from arial.

I chose to alter the point size to begin with and make the justify they piece to block.
We then were asked to make a few more examples of different ways of doing this.

I then kerned the piece, changed the weight and also changed the leading and spacing to gain the desired outcome.

We then were asked to make the text more interesting and readable, from left to right, we were now allowed to change the typeface. I didn't have to change much as the work was already done, i just needed to pick a appropriate typeface which would benefit the decisions made earlier, which on the right i believe i did.

Finally we were asked to change the column widths, one average, one half the size and one twice the size, I found the first one easy, the second more of a challenge as the point size was to be made less in size but still needed to be bold and not look like lost type on a page. By altering the weight I think that I captured the attention the half column needed/needs.
I found the double sized column the mare, I found it rather hard to do this without changing the point size to something ridiculously big, I eventually settled on using a big leading which i don't think benefitted the type.
